Man Killed At Afterparty For Dr Dre Book

One man has been killed and another injured after a party celebrating the launch of a new DR DRE biography turned violent.
Authors Bruce Williams and Donnell Alexander appeared at a bookstore in Tukwila, Washington on Saturday (12Apr08) to sign copies of their highly-anticipated book Rollin' With Dre, which explores Williams' account of the 10 years he spent as the rapper's confidante.
An afterparty was held at local golf course Gordon's On The Green, but violence erupted at around 2am, with shots fired in the parking lot of the venue - where police found two wounded men.
They were rushed by ambulance to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center where one of the men, a 24-year-old, was pronounced dead on arrival. The other victim, 25, remains in a critical condition.
Michael Murphy, of the Tukwila Police Department, says, "We don't know if the victims were involved in a fight or if they were ambushed or what. We just don't know yet.
"When we first got there, there was panic - people were trying to care for the wounded, people were trying to get out of there, people were scared. It wasn't a healthy scene. It took about 20 minutes to get everything calmed down."
